Yes, I know. This post is late. But what can I say, holidays are pretty busy for us. We’re finally starting to come up for air again, this includes my 10 day vacation I am about to enjoy. No worries though, we will be back on January 20th in plenty of time for all of those Valentine’s Day orders you have for me.

2015 was a pretty great year for us. We had a lot of wonderful things happen around here. To name a few, we got a new website, we won best cake shoppe in the Sault, we hired Kara, I learned more amazing techniques from some incredible cake designers, our daughter Liz started school, and did you see Cliff the bear? I mean come on, what a year! Naturally, all of this was shared over social media over the past year, but I’ve added a few of my favourite ones on here. From behind the scenes, to finished product and everything in between. Looking forward to everything 2016 brings us…and yes, it’s going to be bigger and better!

Each and every step of our cookies are hand done, every layer of colour is added, they are a true labour of why I love my job.

My little “cake bubble” as I like to call it. It looks like a lot of stuff, because it is!

Kara joined us this year, we are so lucky to have her. She’s learning the ropes every week she is here and you’ve probably seen her smiling face at a few events.

A few behind the scenes shots of the creation of Cliff. If you haven’t seen him, be sure to head to our facebook page. Curt O’Neil Photographer took some wild photos of him all set up at the event.

And us delivering the bear. Note: I am not permitted to go on cake deliveries..I get a bit anxious, just ask my “handsome assistant” .

I had the honour of learning from 6 extremely talented artists. I am proud to have had the opportunity to learn from them, and more than that to call a few of them my friends.

Lastly, this beauty. I don’t take it lightly. Thanks everyone! Cheers to an even better year…if that’s possible.
