I woke up this morning to some gorgeous snow, and got the urge to make some snowflake cookies. So why not do a little special on these.

Give us a call and get a dozen of the snowflakes for $30. Colour scheme of your choice available upon request. Snowflakes only.

Also since, it’s our birthday, we’ll be having our 6″ gift box cakes on special for $50 for the month of January only.

Again, colour scheme available upon request. We can also add a gift tag with the recipients name on it for that added touch. No other details can be added without a price increase.

When ordering, please specify which shapes you would like, otherwise you will get an assortment. A dozen of these will come wrapped in their own individual baggies with “Happy Halloween” tags for $30.  You must order by the dozen. Please get your orders in as soon as you can, email is always best.

On another note we are booked SOLID for this coming weekend, holidays tend to do that to us . Have a great weekend everyone, try not to stuff yourself too much. Ahh who am I kidding? I plan to.

Our schedule is a bit different this year due to our holidays. We will be closed from April 8th at noon until April 20th, re-opening at noon on the 21st, just in time for easter weekend.

As usual, we will be having our Easter Cookies for sale. They will come wrapped in their little baggies with a “Happy Easter” tag. A dozen of these little cuties are $30. Minimum order is a dozen. Also the only stipulation to ordering these is orders must be received BEFORE april 8th, that includes getting a confirmation back from me that they will be ready. I do apologize for having to do that, but I need to make sure all orders are in before my vacation starts. Also our cupcake of the month will be offered from April 23rd – April 30th. That information will be posted as soon as we re-open.

HOW MUCH DO YOUR CAKES COST?
Every single cake we make is custom.  As a result of that, we do not have a general price list.  If you are interested in a cake, please contact us with any ideas you have, how many people it needs to feed and the day you require the cake. From there we would be happy to get you a quote.
In general, there is never a basic, or simple cake over here. We specialize in the different and whimsical cakes.
DO YOU MAKE INDIVIDUAL CAKES, CUPCAKES OR DECORATED COOKIES?
We do offer individual cakes, providing that they are accompanied with a larger order. We also sell cupcakes and decorated cookies. Check out our blog entries for specials on both.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER A CAKE?
We tend to book up quickly; so the sooner you reserve your place on our calendar, the better.  Our busy season is from May – September, so if your order falls in that timeframe, please contact us sooner than later.
HOW DO I ORDER A CAKE?
The easiest way to order a cake from us is to contact us with any ideas you have, how many people it needs to feed and the day you require the cake. From there we would be happy to get you a quote. For cupcakes or cookies, the same applies. A minimum order of a dozen is required to fill your cupcake or cookie order.
DO YOU OFFER TASTINGS?
We apologize but we are not set up to do tastings.
DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL STORE?
No. Jeannette has a full bakery in her home.
DO YOU TEACH CLASSES?
At this time, no lessons or classes of any kind are being offered.
WHEN SHOULD I PICK UP MY CAKE?
In order to have a time that is suitable for both you and Jeannette, a few days before your cake is due to be picked up, please contact the bakery to arrange a time.  We can’t stress this enough, please be on time. If you are running late, please call us. If we don’t answer, please leave a message.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS OF OPERATION?
Being a home-based business, we don’t have specific 9-5 hours. Jeannette operates the business on her own, so please be patient when contacting her. Sometimes it takes a while depending on how busy she is. Also we have voicemail, please take advantage of that.

I am aware they are all in the same colour scheme. I have a thing for making them all match, but they can be any colours that you please! A dozen cookies is $30.

Next up are cupcakes.  Before I get into that, I need to introduce you all to marshmallow buttercream. I made it for the first time at Christmas with the 12 Days of Cupcakes, I knew it was going to stay. So I made it again today, tinted some pink, it’s delightful. So fluffy. These cupcakes are vanilla with the marshmallow buttercream, some drizzled with chocolate sauce, some just pretty.

Cupcakes are still priced individually. Cupcakes of the month will be coming soon! Stay tuned for that!

Last but not least don’t forget about our cupcake bouquets. Order them in your favourite flavour, delivery is available if you are out of town, or even tied up at the office. Bouquets are $50.

Any Christmas cookie orders put in BEFORE the end of November will get free wrapping. The cookies don’t have to be picked up before the end of November, just ordered. All cookies are priced individually, and many different shapes are available. Choose from Santas, gingerbread men, candy canes, snowflakes, trees, ornaments, stockings, reindeer, and bells. Get your orders in today!

Any orders for Halloween cookies placed before October 29th will recieve the cookies wrapped in individual bags with a matching ribbon and a “Happy Halloween” tag for free. Contact me for individual cookie prices, minimum order is a dozen.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

In light of that I’m going to take a second to talk about my mom. I really don’t even know what to put. She is nothing short of amazing. It doesn’t matter what I do, or attempt to do, she is always proud and more than happy to support me. How did I get so lucky to have someone watch out for me like this. I’m very blessed. Ever since I first started this crazy idea to not go back to work and start a business in the Sault, she has done nothing but have my back. Here’s a picture of mom and I when I first started.

To look at this picture now, it seems SO long ago, and she was as proud as ever.

Not only am I blessed with one mom. I’m lucky enough to have 3! Everything I said about my mom can be said the exact same for my stepmother Mare and my Mother-In-Law Arlene. Mare is my wrapping goddess…all my wrapping is thanks to her, it’s her thing and she loves it. She is also one of my best forms of advertising, the woman is a machine!!

Arlene is constantly making sure I have enough baking ingredients to feed a small army. Thank god, because when a fast cake order comes out of no where, she is there to step in and help out.

I’m a lucky girl. I know it. Not only that but I am so grateful for people in my life to support this ever growing business of mine. I know that it’s not something I can do alone and wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for all three of them.

On that note I am having a Mother’s Day special on cookies. A dozen vanilla sugar cookies decorated for your mom, or that special mother figure in your life. The cookies will come in a basket wrapped up and ready to give to them. Shapes include, circles, hearts, flowers, tulips etc. All baskets are $35.
