Normally baby shower cakes are pretty standard. Pink for a girl, or Blue for a boy. I was thrilled when I got an email from a faithful client asking me to do a more unique one. The baby’s nursery decorated with an outdoor theme as well as the bedding. They had an idea of what they wanted for a cake, but of course I had to put my own spin on it, as I normally do. Here is the cake that I came up with.

I think my favourite part is the leaf for the baby blanket.

I love the little blue birds too.

Complete with the baby’s name.

And of course the matching cupcakes.

I love projects like this, mainly because I love when things match!

Congrats Melissa & Josh, I hope you’re little man is happy and healthy.

When friends get married it is such an amazing time for everyone. This past weekend was just that. Jeremy and my husband Anthony have been best friends since high school and we were lucky enough to meet Sandra when they started dating 5 years ago. Sandra had her 2 sisters standing up with her, and I had the honour of being the only one that wasn’t a blood relative standing. What a day. I felt it needed a post. Not to mention to show you all the biggest cake I have ever made. Here are few pictures from the day. You can see we all had a great time.

Now if any of you know my good friend Curt O’Neil (as im sure most of you do), the next photo will not be a surprise. Just goes to show you that two successful business owners can have some fun! We’re goofs.

To Jer and Sandra, thank you for having me be part of your special day. I can never repay you for the friendship that you both have given me, I couldn’t be happier for the both of you.
